Guidelines QUAXTER designer

1. Respect and courtesy

One of the absolute principles at QUAXTER community is respect and courtesy, even though it may lead to situations during operation, where do you feel discriminated against or suspect violations of your copyright. It is of utmost priority to seek a clarification of the situation in a professional and respectful way. This includes, among other things, that debates have no place in public. For these, please use the way of direct contacting (send a private message). If this should not lead to a compromise, there is the possibility to inform the QUAXTER team, which again will try fo achieve a fair solution. We always try to understand the situation as best as possible and to listen to all parties involved. Please understand, however, that sometimes our administrators have to intervene in the case of apparent violations to ensure the high quality of this page.

2. Understand what the client wants

Before you plunge into work, always note: Have you read all the information that has been made by the client in QUAXTER briefing? Only this way clients already get quality designs in the early stages of the contest. The comments made during the ongoing contest are meant to allow an interactive development process between client and designer in order to achieve best possible results by introducing constructive criticism. In no case should clients should be forced to repeat information from the QUAXTER briefing once more in the ongoing debate. Designers who obviously tackle the task without reading through the requirements, have usually no chance of winning a contest. On the other hand, professional designers will be able to quickly achieve a good reputation which will of course pay dividends. So invest the necessary time in advance, it will be worth it.

3. Your design is your design

...in all regards! It is self-evident, that one must not copy from others or violate rights of third parties by using existing designs. In case of obvious violations QUAXTER operators will delete submitted designs. If using existing designs, it needs to be discussed with the client immediately in order to find an agreement for possibly incurring licence cost. It is also evident that your design remains your intellectual property, provided that you haven't won the contest and received the prize money. If you suspect that your design is improperly used, do not hesitate to contact the QUAXTER team. We will do our best to protect your creativity and individuality from abuse.

4. Upload of your designs / final files and invoice

Uploading a design proposal is only permitted if you can all provide file formats the client specified in QUAXTER briefing. In the event that you win a contest and can not provide a file format, the client usually will not release the prize money. Uploaded designs, which contain unappropriate, non-competitive or or otherwise content which jeopardize a serious and consistent appearance of the QUAXTER site in the net, will be deleted immediately and respective accounts will be blocked. Please understand this. Furthermore, uploaded designs are to be free of advertising and watermarks of any kind. You always have the opportunity though, to present yourself to clients on your design profile. There you can promote your website and links as well.
